The emphasis of this page is to provide self directed tutorials to help students learn more about other ethnicities (including geography and languages via online games) .

Traditional definitions of race, ethnicity and nationality are:
  • Race is associated with biology. You have no control over your skin color or how you are perceived by others.
  • Ethnicity means you identify yourself with a culture. This could be because you speak the same language or have the same religion. Unlike race you have a choice to select your culture. For example, you may be Hispanic but you grew up in Vietnam so you identify yourself as Vietnamese.
    • Ethnicity, like race does not have a clear definition but generally people belong to a social group that has a common national or cultural tradition.
  • Nationality. Your country of citizenship or original birthplace
